Self-Cutting Drain Cock Installation (Type A) At Eco Heat & Cool Ltd, we can supply and install a self-cutting Type A drain cock if your heating system or hot water cylinder does not have an existing drain point. Drain cocks are essential for safely draining a heating system during maintenance, repairs or upgrades. Without one, draining the system can be difficult and may lead to unnecessary mess or complications. Why a Drain Cock Is Important A drain cock is typically installed at the lowest point of the heating system or hot water cylinder, allowing engineers to safely drain the system when required. Uploading photos of the boiler, heating system, or problem area can help us prepare for the job. Someone aged 18 or over must be present at the property during the appointment. Please ensure clear and safe access/ parking to the boiler, heating system and your property. Cancellations & Rescheduling We require at least 72 hours’ notice (3 WORKING DAYS) for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a call-out charge. Diagnostic Visits Some visits are diagnostic only. Any repair work or parts required will be quoted separately before work begins. Providing as much information as possible in advance helps us diagnose issues more efficiently and complete the work with minimal disruption.
